Viquesney's Doughboy at Oakley, KS.

Viquesney's desktop Doughboy and table lamp might not have come into existence were it not for the large WWI monument they were patterned after. Copies of Viquesney's Doughboy still stand in 38 states. For more information and a list of links to all known locations of The Spirit of the American Doughboy, visit Earl Goldsmith's Viquesney Doughboy Database.

Although many of Viquesney's Doughboys still stand, some have disappeared through neglect, accidents, vandalism, and exposure to weather. Gone forever, but remembered in an old postcard below is the Doughboy that once stood in Lincoln Park, Chicago, IL.
